To access Hub Configuration, go to **Configure** > **Hub** in the Thrive menu. Configuration is split across four tabs: [**Preferences**](/v1/docs/hub-configuration#hub-preferences), [**Widgets**](/v1/docs/hub-widgets), [**Link Widgets**](/v1/docs/hub-configuration#link-widgets), and [**Hub Templates**](/v1/docs/hub-templates). > [!NOTE] > Note: > > **Data processing:** Enabling Hub features means Thrive will use [unified.to](http://unified.to) as an optional third-party sub-processor to help process your data. For more details, visit [trust.thrivelearning.com](http://trust.thrivelearning.com). You can switch Hub off at any time. ## Preferences The **Preferences** tab controls whether Hub is visible to your organisation and who can access it. ### Enable Hub | Setting | Description | | --- | --- | | **Enable Hub** | When enabled, Hub appears in the navigation and is visible to users. | #### Hub Access Once Hub is enabled, use **Hub access** to control who can see it. | Option | Description | | --- | --- | | **Everyone** | All users can access Hub. | | **Admins only** | Only administrators can access Hub. | | **Specific audience(s)** | Only users in the audience(s) you choose can access Hub. When selected, use the **Search audiences** field to add one or more audiences. > [!NOTE] > Note: > > For details on creating Smart and Manual audiences, see [Audiences](/v1/docs/audiences). | ### Homepage Settings The **Homepage settings** section controls which screen users land on first when they open Thrive. | Option | Description | | --- | --- | | **Homepage** | Users land on the current Homepage when they log in. | | **Hub** | Users land on Hub when they log in. | | **Disable Home/Hub Tab** | When **Hub** is set as the landing page, enable this to hide the Home/Hub tab completely. Users land directly on Hub with no separate Home tab in the navigation. | ## Link Widgets The **Link Widgets** section lets Super Admins create custom link widgets for your organisation. Each one points to a URL of your choice – such as an internal tool or a key resource – and appears in the widget marketplace for users on your tenant to add to their personal Hub. #### Creating a Link Widget 1. In **Hub Configuration**, click the **Link Widgets** tab. 2. On the **Link Widgets** tab, click **+ Add Widget**. 3. Enter the URL in the **Link** field. Thrive fetches the page details automatically and suggests a title and image. 4. Click **Suggested** to choose an image directly from the page or **Upload** to add your own. 5. Click **Add Widget** to save. New link widgets are set to **Inactive** by default. To make one available for users to add to their Hub, open the **...** menu on that widget and select **Set as active**. #### Managing Link Widgets The **Link Widgets** list shows each widget's title, URL, author, published date, and status. Use the **...** menu on any widget to: - **Edit**: Change the widget's URL, title, or image. - **Set as active**/**Set as inactive**: Make the widget available or unavailable for users to add to their Hub. - **Recommend**: Choose the audiences that should see this widget suggested on their Hub. Anyone who already has it won’t see the suggestion. - **Delete**: Remove the widget permanently.
