# Structures

**Structures** provide a method for grouping and nesting audiences together. They offer a more scalable way to organise audiences and delegate management permissions within complex organisations.

- **Organisation and hierarchy:** Structures allow you to organise scattered audiences into a clear hierarchy.
- **Delegated management:** They allow you to assign permissions (using the Structure Admin role) to various teams, enabling them to manage and create audiences only within their delegated structure.
- **Structure rules:** Like Smart Audiences, a Structure uses the same rule builder to define its overall user membership. Any audience moved into a Structure will automatically have its membership filtered by the Structure's rules.
- **"Everyone" audience:** Each new Structure automatically creates a corresponding audience that includes all members of that Structure, acting as a convenient "Everyone" audience for that delegated area.
