From this page, you can configure programmes, set mandatory hours per category, define audience requirements, and link platform content to CPD goals. ## Configuring CPD ### Adding CPD Categories Categories represent the professional development areas (for example, **Coaching**, **IOSH**) that learners will select when logging their off-platform CPD activity. 1. From the Thrive menu, go to **Configure** > **CPD**. 2. Under **CATEGORIES**, click **Add categories**. 3. Enter a **Name of category**. 4. Click **ADD**. Repeat this process as necessary to add all required categories. ### Defining Audience Requirements Define which user groups need to complete CPD and specify their required hours: 1. Click **Add audience requirement**. 2. Search for the **Audience** you want to assign the CPD to. 3. Give the requirement a **CPD Name** (such as “Annual Leadership Development”). 4. Enter the **Start Date** (typically 1st January for annual cycles). 5. Enter the **Hours required** to complete the CPD. 6. Click **ADD**. The CPD will now appear on the user’s [CPD dashboard](/v1/docs/cpd) in the **Learn** area. ### Endorse Content for Credit To make existing Thrive content (like articles or courses) count toward a learner's required CPD hours, you must endorse it. 1. Go to the content item you want to include in CPD. 2. Click the **Endorse** button on that content. 3. In the new window, select the relevant CPD category. The content is now endorsed and will count towards a learner’s required CPD hours. > [!NOTE] > Note: > > The duration of the content, which determines the credited time, must be set in the content's general settings. Any learning material in Thrive, including courses, quizzes, videos, documents, external links, and user-generated resources. Content serves to educate, engage, and assess learners, supporting a wide range of learning experiences across the platform.
