This section outlines how to migrate data into your Thrive platform, whether you're transitioning from a legacy learning management system (LMS) or importing content and user activity manually.
You'll find guidance on:
Importing learning content and metadata from your previous system
Uploading historical completions for compliance tracking and reporting
Preparing and formatting files for import (e.g. CSVs, SCORM packages, media files)
Sharing data securely with the Thrive team via SFTP
Understanding what can and cannot be migrated, and what appears in user records post-import
These articles are intended for platform administrators or implementation teams managing large-scale onboarding or system changes.

A software platform for delivering, tracking, and managing educational courses and training programs. It centralises content, monitors learner progress, and facilitates assessments.
Any learning material in Thrive, including courses, quizzes, videos, documents, external links, and user-generated resources. Content serves to educate, engage, and assess learners, supporting a wide range of learning experiences across the platform.
Data that provides information about other data. In the context of SCORM or LMS, metadata describes the content, such as its title, description, author, duration, and learning objectives. Metadata helps organise, search, and categorise learning resources.
Tracking refers to the process of sending a grade or completion status to Thrive when a learner reaches a specific point. It can also involve bookmarking a point in the course, allowing the learner to return and continue from where they left off.
