Quiz

Quizzes in Thrive help assess knowledge and reinforce learning. You can customise the number of questions, passing requirements, and feedback to align with your learning goals.

Creating a Quiz

1. In the Thrive menu, go to Create, scroll down to Other content Types, and click Quiz.
   

2. Under Create a new Quiz, enter the title for your quiz.
   

3. Click Next.

   You’ll be taken to the quiz creation screen.

4. (Optional) Change the thumbnail as needed.

5. Provide a Summary that describes your quiz.

6. Enter your questions and answers:

   1. Go to Multiple choice questions and enter your question.
      

   2. Under Answer Options, enter one or more possible answers. To add more than two, click + Add another answer.
      

   3. Select the correct answer(s) by clicking the checkmark beside them.

   4. (Optional) Enter feedback messages under Correct Answer Feedback and Incorrect Answer Feedback (for example, hints or explanations).

   5. Click ADD THIS QUESTION to save it.

   6. Repeat these steps for additional questions.

7. Enter the Number of correct answers to pass the quiz.

8. (Optional) Add skills and topics:

   1. To associate the content with specific skills, select them from the Choose skills dropdown or choose from the suggestions.
   2. To categorise the content, add tags using the Choose topics dropdown or select from the suggestions.

9. (Optional) Control visibility and sharing:

   1. To restrict visibility, under Share with people, search for users or groups and select Only visible to the members shared with.
   2. To prevent users from sharing, deselect Allow resharing.

10. (Optional) Notify users when they receive the link:

    1. Toggle Notify to YES.
    2. Enter a message in the text box.

11. (Optional) Configure Advanced settings:

    • Duration: Set a completion time limit in hours (h) and minutes (m).

    • Disable Comments: Toggle this on to prevent learners from commenting on the content.

    • Skill boosting: If this feature is enabled and you want to boost a skill on completion, toggle it on, and then select the skill, level, and completion requirements.

12. Click Post.

The quiz is created and shared. If you enabled notifications, users will be notified. To make changes later, click EDIT.
