Thrive Link is powered by our middleware provider, Merge.dev, which offers a Unified API to connect Thrive with all major Human Resources Information System (HRIS) platforms - including, but not limited to, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Ceridian Dayforce, BambooHR, and others.
This solution enables automated, secure, and scalable user data synchronisation between your HR system and Thrive.
How it Works
Merge.dev serves as the integration layer between your HRIS and Thrive.
The Unified API abstracts complexity, allowing Thrive to support dozens of HR platforms with a single, consistent integration model.
User data is synchronised automatically every six hours (starting at 12 am UTC) enabling timely updates to employee profiles.
Key Features
Unified API Architecture: Thrive Link leverages Merge.dev’s Unified API to support a wide range of HRIS platforms through a single, streamlined connection. This drastically reduces integration complexity and accelerates deployment timelines.
Automated Lifecycle Management: Automatically creates, updates, and suspends user profiles based on changes in your HR system - no manual intervention required.
Frequent Sync Schedule: Runs four times daily to ensure timely updates across employee records and new hires.
Secure & Scalable: Thrive Link is built for enterprise environments, with robust data handling, high-volume sync capabilities, and secure authentication protocols. It supports seamless scaling across organisations with thousands of users, while maintaining reliability and compliance.

Getting Started / Technical Onboarding
1. Choose Your HRIS Platform:
Confirm that Merge supports your HRIS.dev (Workday, SAP, Dayforce, etc.)
2. Confirm Agreement & Project Kick-Off:
Once the Statement of Work (SOW) has been signed and commercial terms (including pricing, scope, and project timelines) have been agreed, your Thrive integration specialist will schedule a technical scoping call.
3. Generate Authentication Credentials:
Depending on your HRIS and integration type, this could be OAuth, API keys, SSH keys, etc.
4. Configure Merge.dev Connection:
Work with your Thrive technical implementation specialist to discuss and map relevant employee data fields (UUID, email, job title, status, etc.).
Ensure custom fields have been created in Thrive UI.
5. Test & Go Live:
Run validation checks.
Move to production sync.
