Custom Messages

Prev Next

Customising messages let you create a more welcoming and informative experience for your users – from the messages shown on the login screen to the greeting users see when they reach their homepage. Whether you want to reinforce your organisation's tone of voice, give clearer instructions for login-related actions, or support users in multiple languages, custom messages help ensure a smoother, more personalised experience.

Customising Login Message

  1. In the Thrive menu, go to Configure > Custom messages.
Configuration settings for custom messages on a login page in Thrive Tribe.

  2. The following customisable login sections are available:

    • Login page welcome: The welcome text users see when landing on the login screen.

    • Forgotten username: The message shown when users request a reminder for their username.

    • Request for activation: The message displayed when a user requests account activation.

    • Request password reset: The message shown when a password reset is requested.

    • SSO login button: The text shown on the single sign-on button (if enabled).

    • Home greeting prompt: The greeting users see on their homepage. Clear the field to remove it entirely.

  3. Click Save changes.

Your custom login messages are now live and visible to users on the login screen.

Multi-Language Support

If your site supports multiple languages, you can create a language-specific version for each message. Use the Language preview dropdown in the top-right corner of the Custom Messages screen to switch between languages.

The pre-login pages – including login, sign-up, forgotten password, and account activation – automatically detect the user's browser language and display in it. If the site doesn't support that language, the pages fall back to the site's default language. Any custom messages you've set are shown in the matching language version.
