Frequently Asked Questions
What about content with restricted permissions?
When adding a link to content with restricted access, the content author will see a warning advising them to check that all users have access to the content.
What will the learner see if they don't have access to the target content?
They'll see a placeholder card with "You don't have permission to view this content".
What types of content can I link to?
You can link to any content type on your Thrive platform. When adding a content link, the user will be shown only results for content that they have access to - not all platform content.
Can I link to multiple pieces of content in one post?
Absolutely. Each link renders as its own content card block, letting you link to several pieces of supporting content in a single post.
Will learners leave my content if they click the embedded card?
Yes, clicking a content card will take learners to the linked content in a new tab. This ensures they don’t lose their place in the original piece.
Will this break if the linked content is deleted?
If the original content is archived or deleted, the embedded card will no longer work and will display a permission error placeholder advising that they don't have access to the linked content. It’s best practice to ensure linked content remains active as long as it’s referenced.
