Smart audience rules give the flexibility to fine tune audience membership:
AND Example
Multiple rules (rows) work on AND logic, which means that users need to match all rules.
This example shows that this audience will include everyone who is in the department “Sales” AND is a “manager with direct reports”
OR Example
Multiple values within one rule (row) work on OR logic. This means that users need to match at least one of the values added to the rule.
IMPORTANT NOTE - Multiple values within one rule is only supported for the following rules:
User Profile: Custom Fields
User Profile: Topics Followed
User Profile: Skills Include
User Profile: Domains
This example shows that this audience will include everyone whose Job Role is either a “Customer Success Manager” OR an “Account Manager”
AND & OR Example
Where you have audiences that are made up of both AND and OR logic, users must match at least one condition for all rules (rows) added.
This example shows that this audience below will include everyone who has either “Customer Success Manager” OR “Account Manager” in the Job Role custom profile field, AND who also has “London” OR “Brighton” in their Location custom profile field.
