This article provides an overview of how each setting in the Theme section of your dashboard changes the look and feel of your Thrive platform.

Accessing the Theme Configuration

To access these options, in the Thrive menu, go to Configure > Theme.

Description

App Title

This sets the name that appears in the browser tab for your Thrive platform.

Logo

Configuration

Description

Light logo

This logo is displayed in the email header when a dark background colour is used.

Dark logo

This logo appears in the top-left corner of your site and on your login page.

Login image

This image is displayed on your login page.

Favicon

This is the small icon that appears in your browser tab next to your app title.

Colours

Email header background

This changes the banner colour in email notifications. If you use a dark colour, the light version of your logo will be displayed, and vice versa.

Primary

This colour is used for key interactive elements across the platform, including:

  • Endorsed content and collaboration icons

  • New content icons

  • Tag filters on homepage blocks

  • "View All" and "Create" buttons

  • The highlight bar on the navigation menu

  • Skill level colours

  • Status colours for assigned content (Completed, Overdue, In Progress)

  • "Like," "share," "flag," and "pin" icons on content

Secondary

This colour is used for highlight and accent elements, such as:

  • The highlight colour when you hover over content titles on homepage blocks

  • Page indicators for multi-page homepage blocks

  • The highlight colour on search results

  • The highlight colour on "Follow" and "Go to Learn Page" buttons on profile pages

  • The highlight colour on the secondary Dashboard menu

  • The "Follow" icon on people cards on the homepage

  • The colours for the Insights and Analytics dashboards

Body

This sets the text colour for most of the Thrive platform's content, including:

  • Content titles

  • Descriptions

  • Comments

Foreground

This colour is used for backgrounds and specific text elements, including:

  • Homepage block titles and backgrounds

  • The "when posted," "views," and "pin" button on content tiles

  • Topic tags on homepage blocks

  • The configure homepage block icon (for admins only)

  • The number of responses icon on "Question" content tiles

  • The colour of default profile pictures (for example, "JS" for John Smith)

  • Content completion dates on the Profile page

  • The highlight around the Search bar

  • Content filters on the search results page

  • The content type icon in the search bar

Background

This is the main background colour for your platform and its computer-generated variations, such as:

  • Modals

  • Side panels

  • The drag-and-drop zone when uploading a file
