Theme (User Settings)

Themes are display options that allow you to adjust the visual appearance in Thrive. You can choose Light, Dark, or System, or follow Organisation default if your Super Admin or Team Admin has set one for your organisation. Light mode uses brighter backgrounds with darker text, while Dark mode replaces bright backgrounds with darker tones, using lighter colours for text and interface elements. Dark mode can help reduce eye strain in low-light environments and creates a more comfortable viewing experience, especially at night or in dimly lit settings.

Changing Your Theme

1. In the Thrive menu, go to your profile and click Preferences.
   

2. Under Theme, select one of the following options:

   • Organisational default: Follows the theme your Super Admin or Team Admin has set for Thrive. This is what new users see until they choose a personal theme, and if your organisation hasn't set a default, it falls back to Dark.

     Note:

     If you're a Super Admin or Team Admin, you can set the organisation default that applies to everyone in Configure > Platform settings > Theme. For details, see Theme.

   • Light mode: Displays Thrive with the standard light background and darker text.

   • Dark mode: Displays Thrive with dark backgrounds and lighter text and elements.

   • System (Default): Automatically adjusts Thrive to match your device’s system settings. For example, if your device is set to Dark mode, Thrive will follow suit.

   • Seasonal themes: Adds a festive visual style to Thrive for special times of year, such as Festive and Valentine's. Turning a seasonal theme off returns you to whatever theme you were using before.

Once selected, your display mode will update immediately and apply across your account:

Your preferences are saved within your browser. If you switch to a different browser, device, or mobile app, you'll need to set your preferences again on that device.
