Brilliant Basics is coming to Thrive. These are the foundational features that keep your platform running smoothly every day — audiences, notifications, badges, user management and more — rebuilt and refined to be even better. Check back here for previews of what's on the way, including key functionality, what's changing and when to expect it.

Bulk Management of Content: Archive, Restore, and Delete

Super Admins and Learning Admins will soon be able to archive, restore, or permanently delete multiple pieces of content in one go — directly within the platform, no support ticket required.

From the Manage > Content view, select multiple items, choose your action, and confirm. Built-in safeguard prompts and permission checks keep everything intentional and controlled.

A few things to know

  • Only Super Admins and Learning Admins can access bulk actions.

  • Content must be archived before it can be permanently deleted.

  • Bulk delete is permanent and cannot be undone.

  • Large bulk actions may take a short time to process.

Custom Badges: Multi-Criteria

Badges are getting smarter. Admins will soon be able to configure badges with multiple attainment criteria, rather than a single trigger — making it possible to award badges that reflect real learning journeys.

Using AND / OR logic, you'll be able to combine existing trigger types (completion, like, comment, share) in a single badge rule. Require learners to complete all criteria, or award the badge when any one condition is met.

What this means in practice

  • Badges can represent multi-step certifications or programmes.

  • Completion and engagement criteria can be combined in one rule.

  • Alternative learning paths can lead to the same badge.

Pathways: Header UI Refresh

The Pathways header is getting a modern refresh. Learners will see a cleaner, more polished design that works reliably across desktop, mobile web, and the mobile app — with header images no longer obscured by text.

Where a due date is assigned, it'll now appear directly in the header, giving learners an at-a-glance reminder without having to dig for it.
