Custom steps

Ideal for tailoring the onboarding experience to your organisation's needs, custom steps allow you to capture specific data from users during their first login.

To create a custom onboarding step:

  1. Click + Add custom onboarding step.

  2. In the Step name field, enter a title for the step as you want it to appear to users.

  3. Add a Step description to provide users with more context or instructions.

  4. Select + Select custom fields to choose which user attributes you want to capture during this step.

    Note:

These fields are pulled from your existing User Attributes configuration. For more information, see User Attributes.

  5. Once you have configured the step, click Save onboarding step.

Click the Save button to apply your changes. These settings are then saved for every new user, ensuring they are ready to make the most of your Thrive platform from day one.

Welcome Email

The Welcome Email tab allows you to automate a greeting for new members of your platform as soon as they are added.

To create a welcome email:

  1. Click the Welcome Email tab on the Onboarding page.
Onboarding settings for user accounts, including welcome email and profile setup options.

  2. Toggle the Enable welcome email on.

A customisable template will appear where you can draft your message.

  3. Select Save to activate the email.

Once saved, the welcome email is activated and will be sent automatically to every new user as soon as their account is created.

Note:

The welcome email is triggered once per user, immediately upon their profile being created and saved. If their Email field is empty or the email address is spelled incorrectly when the profile is first saved, the email will not reach the user’s inbox. Any edits to the Email field after the profile has been created won’t re-trigger the welcome email.
