Guided Creation

The Guided Creation feature uses AI-driven prompts to help you build structured learning materials quickly. By answering a series of targeted questions, you can generate a complete content draft that aligns with your specific goals and audience.

Getting Started

  1. On the Thrive menu, go to Create.

  2. Under the Guided Creation tile, click Start chatting.

    You will be prompted to select a Collaboration. This determines which group of contributors has access to edit and manage the content.

  3. Choose the appropriate Collaboration from the dropdown menu and click Continue.

Guided Creation Flow

The AI will guide you through a conversational workflow to understand your requirements. You can click Start over at any time to begin the process again.

  • Topic and materials: Describe what you would like to teach or paste existing reference material into the text box.

  • Learning goals: Outline the key skills or knowledge learners should walk away with. You can leave this blank to let the AI craft versatile goals.

  • Audience profile: Specify if your learners are beginners or experts. Leaving this blank will generate content suitable for a wide range of audiences.

  • Content length: Choose between a Quick Overview, Core Concepts, or a Comprehensive deep dive.

  • Tone: Select the delivery style that works best for your learners: Casual, Balanced (default), or Formal.

Reviewing the Outline

Once your inputs are processed, the AI generates a structured outline for you to review and customise:

  • Edit Sections: Use the pencil icon to rename a section.

  • Organise: Drag the six-dot icon to reorder sections, or click the X icon to remove them entirely.

  • Expand: Click + Add section to manually add more content areas to the outline.

  • Refine: If the outline isn't quite right, click Try again to adjust your initial prompts.

  • Generate: Click Create my content! to build the full draft.

Publishing

After the content is generated, you will be taken through the final configuration steps:

  1. Thumbnail: Upload a custom image or use Create with AI to generate a recommended thumbnail.

  2. Tags: Search for and apply Skills and Topics so your content appears in relevant sections across the platform.

  3. Visibility & Share: Set the content to Public or Limited Access. You can also toggle Allow resharing or Notify People from this screen.

  4. Configuration: Choose completion criteria (e.g., Complete on view) and toggle settings like Endorse content or Enable comments.

  5. Publish: Click Publish to make the content available on your Thrive platform.

Your content is now active and accessible to learners based on the visibility settings you selected during the final steps. By using Guided Creation, you can transform a simple topic or reference material into a fully structured, professional learning experience in a fraction of the time.
