The Thrive AI Assistant (Kiki) will soon do more than search, analyse, and answer questions – it will carry out tasks across Thrive directly. This update adds 85 new tools: 33 for finding information and 52 for making changes, covering content, users, tags, audiences, events, groups, and Spaces.
Instead of navigating menus to change a user's role, bulk-tag resources, or manage Space memberships, you can ask Kiki to do it in plain English.
What's New
This release gives Kiki the ability to perform most actions an admin or learner could previously only do manually, including:
Finding content, users, tags, audiences, events, and groups using natural-language search
Creating and publishing content, tagging, and endorsing content
Changing user roles, suspending users, and managing audiences
Creating events and Spaces, and moderating reported content
Registering for events, joining or leaving Spaces and groups, and following other users
How It Works
Approval before changes. For any action that changes something – creating content, suspending users, changing permissions, and so on – Kiki shows a summary and waits for your approval before going ahead.
Clarifying questions. If a request is missing details, Kiki asks a multiple-choice question to gather what it needs, rather than guessing.
Admin controls. Admins can turn individual Kiki tools on or off for their tenant from the new admin settings. Some sensitive tools – content creation, deletion, role changes, and suspensions – are turned off by default and must be switched on by an admin before Kiki can use them.
Why It Matters
Routine platform admin often means manual, repetitive work: exporting reports to find inactive users, archiving old content one item at a time, or updating group membership individually. With Kiki, these tasks can be completed in a conversation instead of a series of manual steps.
Learners also get self-serve access to actions like registering for events, following colleagues, and joining Spaces, without needing to find them in the menus.
The Feature in Action
Content housekeeping: An admin asks Kiki to find all content that hasn't been viewed in the last 18 months, then asks Kiki to archive the results.
User management: An admin asks Kiki to show all users who haven't logged in for a year, reviews the list, and asks Kiki to suspend them.
Event creation: A team lead asks Kiki to organise a team event. Kiki asks a couple of quick questions about date and capacity, then creates the event.
