Summary

The Pathways page provides leaders with an overview of all assigned pathways for users within their selected audience(s).

It highlights how many pathways have been assigned, how many are complete or overdue, and provides visibility into outstanding pathway tasks. The detailed table shows each user’s assigned pathways, progress, and completion performance.

This page helps leaders understand progress through structured learning journeys and identify areas requiring additional support or follow-up.

Visuals have a maximum lag of 6 hours, typically significantly less.

Filters

Use the filters at the top of the page to refine the dataset:

  • Structure Name / Audience Name / Position Title / Manager Name — isolate pathways for specific teams, roles, or reporting managers

  • Enrolment Status — view open, complete, or overdue pathway assignments

  • Due Date — narrow reporting to pathways due within a particular timeframe

  • Pathway Title — drill into specific pathways

  • Content / Task Title — explore pathway tasks or content elements

  • Content / Task Type — useful for segmenting pathways by task type

  • Pathway Tag — isolate pathways sharing the same tags (e.g., onboarding, compliance)

  • Thrive Status (active, new) — suspended users are excluded by default

  • Additional Field Key — choose segmentation fields such as Region, Department, or Brand

    • Additional Field Value — refine to a specific value

These filters help you examine pathway completion behaviour across any organisational segment.

What You Need to Know

This panel provides important context about the dataset:

  • Assigned pathways are based on the primary content ID

  • If a user completes alternative content inside a pathway, their individual completions may not show in the “Assigned Pathways” grid — only progress on the primary ID is used

  • This page reflects current pathway status, updating as users progress with a maximum lag of 6 hours

  • Export frequency should be limited for performance

Top Tips

Helpful suggestions for getting the most out of this page:

  • If you use Pathway Tasks, use this page to see where tasks may be awaiting approval

  • Drill into pathway rows using Explore for more granular detail

  • Use Explore to investigate bottlenecks such as overdue pathways or users with low progress

Total pathways assigned

Shows the total number of pathways currently assigned across your selected audience(s).

Complete pathways

Displays how many assigned pathways are fully completed.

Open pathways

Shows pathways that are still in progress but not yet overdue.

Overdue pathways

Highlights all pathways past their due date.

Total tasks to approve

Shows the total number of pathway tasks currently awaiting approval across all assigned pathways.

Useful for spotting workflow delays.

Total tasks approved

Displays how many pathway tasks have been approved within the selected audience(s).

Assigned Pathways Table

A detailed table listing all pathway assignments across your audience(s).

Fields include:

  • User Name

  • Ref (user reference ID)

  • Pathway Title

  • Status (open / overdue / complete)

  • Available Date

  • Due Date

  • Last Completed At

  • # Content Items

  • # Completed

  • % Complete

  • Manager Name / Manager Email

  • Incomplete tasks count

How to use this visual:

  • Explore the table for content-level detail for all assigned pathways

    • Hit explore in the top right when hovering over the table

    • add “content/task Title” and “content completed?”

      • if you use pathway tasks also add “content/task Type”

    • This is now a list of all users assigned pathways and content level detail of if they have or have not completed each element.

  • Drill into a learner’s pathway via drill down and then Explore for content-level detail

    • Right click on the pathway title of the learner you wish to explore and “drill down” by “content/task Title”

    • Hover over the table and select “explore” from the top right

    • “Add” any fields you wish to populate your table

    • recommended are the following

      • User Full Name

      • Pathway Title

      • Content/task Type

      • Content Completed?

      • Latest Completion Timestamp

        • This defaults to Monthly, click the 3 dots in the column header and use time bucket to change to “detailed” or “daily”
