The Pathways page provides content collaborators with a complete overview of pathway performance across all selected filters.
It highlights how many pathways exist, how much content they contain, how far learners are progressing through them, and which pathways, sections, and content items may be causing bottlenecks.
This page helps you understand learner progression through structured learning journeys and supports optimisation of pathway design, sequencing, and content quality.
Visuals have a maximum lag of 6 hours, typically significantly less.
Filters
Use the filters at the top of the page to refine the dataset:
Collaboration Name — narrow results to pathways owned by a specific collaboration
Author — focus on pathways authored or maintained by particular creators
Pathway Title — drill into a single pathway to analyse its full structure
Content / Task Title — explore specific pathway items (videos, articles, tasks, etc.)
Content / Task Type — segment the view by content format (task, article, video, etc.)
Pathway Tag — isolate pathways by themes such as onboarding, compliance or skills
These filters allow you to analyse both high-level pathway performance and detailed progression through individual pathway elements.
Visuals
What You Need to Know
This panel outlines key behaviours of the pathways dataset:
Metrics include the number of learners who have started and completed each pathway
Section- and content-level metrics include users started, users completed and % complete
Percentages are calculated based on users who have access to the pathway
Export frequency should be limited for performance
Top Tips
Helpful suggestions for making the most of this page:
Filter to a specific pathway and use the Pathways grid to identify bottlenecks
Are learners starting but not completing?
Is a particular section or content item causing drop-off?
Review items with low completion percentages to ensure they are still relevant and up-to-date
Use pathway insights to validate sequencing, workload distribution, and task complexity
Total pathways
Shows the total number of pathways available within your selected filters.

Total content items
Displays how many individual content items (videos, articles, tasks, etc.) exist across all selected pathways.
This helps you understand pathway size and overall content volume.

Average content items per pathway
Displays the average number of items contained within your pathways.
This provides insight into pathway size, workload, and consistency across your learning journeys.

Average completion % by Pathway Title
A horizontal bar chart showing the average percentage of users who have completed each pathway.
How to use this visual:
Identify pathways with high completion rates (effective structure and content)
Spot pathways with low completion percentages requiring review or optimisation

Pathways Table
A detailed breakdown of pathway performance at pathway, section, and content-item level.
Fields include:
Pathway Title
Section Title
Content/Task Title
# Users Started Pathway
# Users Completed Pathway
% Pathway Complete
# Users Started Section
# Users Completed Section
% Section Complete
This table is the most granular view of pathway performance.
How to use this visual:
Identify where learners drop off (pathway → section → content)
Spot sections with very low completion to assess difficulty, length, or clarity
Validate the effectiveness of newly updated or redesigned pathways
Export the table for deeper offline analysis or collaboration-wide pathway reviews
