Supported file types for Thrive content fall into three groups: files that open in the embedded viewer, files that learners download, and elearning packages.
Embedded Viewer
Word processor files: .pdf
Image files: .png, .jpg, .gif, .svg
Video files: .mp4, .mpg, .wmv, .avi, .mov, .webm
Downloadable
Word processor files: .txt, .doc, .docx
Spreadsheet files: .xls, .xlsx
Presentation files: .ppt, .pptx
Audio files: .mp3, .m4a, .wav, .wma
Compressed files: .zip
Elearning Formats
Elearning content must be uploaded as a .zip file through the E-Learning upload option. The following formats are supported:
SCORM 1.2
TinCan (xAPI)
CMI5
SCORM 2004 (all editions)
HTML package
HTML5 content can be uploaded either as elearning (for example, SCORM or CMI5) or as a plain HTML webpage within a zip file, with no progress tracking.
Note:
The Thrive platform only supports single Shareable Content Object (SCO) formatted SCORM packages. Multi-SCO SCORM packages fail to upload.
