UGC (User-Generated Content) Configuration allows administrators to control exactly what types of content users are permitted to upload and share on Thrive. These settings apply globally across all content types and can be toggled on or off at any time.
Content Upload Control
In Configure > UGC Configuration, you can individually toggle whether users are allowed to upload specific content types (such as links, articles, and events) to Thrive. Toggling these off prevents users from adding those specific formats to the platform.

UGC Settings
You can manage the following specific behaviours related to how UGC functions on Thrive:
Allow users to link content: Control whether a user can link their newly uploaded content to an existing piece of learning content on Thrive.
Show non-endorsed content on Explore?: Determine if content uploaded directly by users (which is typically considered non-endorsed content) will appear in the main Explore feed for other users to discover.
Warn the user that the content will be visible to everyone unless shared with specific audiences or individuals: Enable a confirmation prompt that appears when a user attempts to post content without specifically sharing it to an audience or individual. This warns the user that the content will be publicly visible and encourages intentional distribution.
