Post a link in Thrive to share external resources like articles, videos, or course materials, keeping learning content organised and easily accessible.
Posting a Link
In the Thrive menu, go to Create > Add a new > Link.
The Add the URL screen appears.Enter the link URL in the Please paste the web address here box and click Next.
(Optional) To change the thumbnail, under Thumbnail Preview, select an auto-generated image or click Change to upload your own.
Review the auto-generated Title and Summary fields to ensure they accurately describe the linked content.
If associating the link with specific skills, select them from the Choose skills dropdown.
(Optional) Add tags to categorise the link.
To restrict visibility, under Share with people, search for users or groups and select Only visible to the members shared with.
(Optional) To prevent users from sharing, deselect Allow resharing.
To notify users when they receive the link:
Toggle Notify to YES.
(Optional) Enter a message.
Click Post.
The link is created and shared. If notifications were enabled, users will be notified. To make changes, click EDIT.
Advanced Settings
(Optional) Under Advanced settings, set a Duration (time limit) to view the link.
In the Completion dropdown menu, select how the assignment should be marked as complete:
Complete on view: Marks the assignment as complete once the user opens the link
Confirm accept and understand: Requires the user to click a Confirm button to acknowledge they have read and understood the content before completion
To disable comments, toggle Disable Comments on.
To link the link to skill boosting:

Skill boosting must be enabled on your Thrive instance to use this feature.
Toggle Skill boosting on.
Select the skill, level, and completion requirements for the link. In the example below, the user will achieve Intermediate level after viewing the link:
Click Post or Update.
Advanced settings are applied to the link.
