Create a Collection

Collections group your tags into named sets that control how content is organised on the Explore page. Creating a collection is the first step to building that structure – once you’ve created your primary and secondary collections, you can assign them as your Explore tags to complete your setup.

Creating a Collection

  1. In the Thrive menu, go to Manage > Collections.

  2. Click + Create Collection.
Create Collection dialog with name and tags fields, close button, and disabled Create Collection button.

  3. In the Create Collection window, enter the following details:

    • Collection Name: A name for the collection (for example, “HR Policies” for a primary collection, or “Onboarding” for a secondary collection).

    • Tags: Search for and select the tag(s) you want to include in the collection.

  4. Click Create Collection.

The collection appears in the Collections list, along with how many tags are assigned to it. Repeat these steps to create a second collection – you’ll need at least one primary collection (your main folders) and one secondary collection (the subfolders within them) to build a complete Explore page structure.

Note:

You can also add a tag to a collection directly from the create or edit flow for a topic or skill, rather than coming back here.

Next Steps

Once your collections exist, assign them as your primary and secondary Explore tags to control what learners see. For more information, see Explore.

To edit or delete a collection, see Manage a Collection.
