Once you’ve created your Collections, assign one as your primary Collection and one as your secondary Collection to control how content is organised on the Explore page.
Assigning Your Primary and Secondary Collections
In the Thrive menu, go to Manage > Collections, and click the Tags tab.
In Primary Tag Collection, select the Collection that holds the tags that should form the main folders learners see on the Explore page – typically the Collection with tags relevant to the widest range of users and content.
In the Secondary Tag Collection field, select the Collection that forms the subfolders within each primary folder – typically a broader Collection that helps surface learners’ initial skills and interests.
Click Save changes.
Your primary and secondary collections are ready. You can now tag content so it appears in the right place on the Explore page.
Adding Content to the Explore Page
For a piece of content to appear on the Explore page, it must be tagged with both a primary tag and a secondary tag from your assigned Collections.
Whether it also needs to be endorsed depends on a setting in Configure > Content > Settings: Show non-endorsed content on Explore?. By default, this is switched off, and unendorsed content is hidden from the Explore page. If it’s switched on, unendorsed content can appear too, provided it’s visible, not archived or deleted, and the learner has permission to view it.
Note:
To create or edit the Collections, see Create a Collection and Manage a Collection. For details on the Explore page, see Explore.
