Users are individuals who have an account on the Thrive platform, allowing them to access learning content, complete training, and interact with features relevant to their roles and permissions. Every person who needs to log in to the system — whether they are a learner, a manager, or an administrator — must be set up as a user.

Manage Users

The Manage Users screen is the central hub for maintaining and overseeing your entire user base. To access it, go to Manage > Users.

From here you can create, edit, and manage user accounts, set user roles, assign tag manager access, suspend users individually or in bulk, send password reset links, and import users via CSV.

All Users Table

The All users table lists all current user accounts on the platform. Use the Search… bar to quickly locate specific users by name or email.

Filter Users

To filter the table, click the filter icon in the top-right corner of the table to open the Filter users menu. You can narrow results by role (Super Admin, Learning Admin, or Learner), tag manager status, or suspension status — including the option to show suspended users alongside active ones, or exclusively.

Property Visibility

To control which columns are visible, click the eye icon to open the Property visibility menu, then toggle each property on or off:

  • People: The user's full name and primary email address

  • Audiences: The audiences the user belongs to

  • Last Login: How long ago the user last logged in

  • Role: The user's role (Super Admin, Learning Admin, or Learner)

  • Tag Manager: Whether the user has tag manager access

  • Actions: Quick action options for the user

Admin Actions

The table provides immediate actions for managing individual accounts. For any user in the table, clicking â‹® the vertical ellipsis icon reveals a menu of quick management options:

  • Edit: Modify the user's profile details.

  • Suspend: Temporarily blocks a user from logging into Thrive.

  • Send password reset link: Provides super admins a secure link and QR code to share directly with the user, allowing them to reset their password.

Bulk Suspending Users

  1. In the Thrive menu, go to Manage > Users.

  2. Select the checkboxes next to the users you want to suspend (up to 500 users).

  3. From the bulk actions menu, click Suspend.

  4. Confirm the action and click Suspend again.

The suspension will run as a background job, and all selected users will be blocked from logging in to Thrive.

Other Actions

The Manage Users screen also provides essential bulk and individual creation tools:

  • Upload: Click this button to import multiple user accounts in bulk by uploading a CSV file.

  • Create new user: Manually create a single new user account on the platform. You can set the user's role (Learner, Learning Admin, or Super Admin) and tag manager access during creation.

  • Search…: Use the search bar to quickly locate specific users by name or email. You can also toggle Show suspended users on to view temporarily blocked accounts.
