The Attempts page gives content collaborators a clear overview of how learners are performing in quizzes and assessments.

It highlights pass/fail performance, incomplete attempts, average scores, and which content items or specific questions are causing the most issues. Two detailed tables allow you to review both attempt-level and question-level interactions.

This page helps you identify knowledge gaps, understand content that may require revision, and support learners who may be struggling.

Visuals have a maximum lag of 6 hours, typically significantly less.


Filters

Use the filters at the top of the page to refine the dataset:

  • Collaboration Name — focus results on content owned by a specific collaboration

  • Author — filter attempts to content created by a particular author

  • Content Title / Content Type / Content Tag — analyse specific content items or categories

These filters allow you to focus on performance within the content most relevant to your team.

What You Need to Know

This panel summarises how the Attempts dataset behaves:

  • Includes attempts that have valid content IDs and registration IDs

  • Covers passed, failed, and incomplete attempts

  • Averages and percentages reflect activity within your selected filters

  • Export frequency should be limited for performance

Helpful suggestions for using this dashboard effectively:

  • Review Monthly Average Score to identify seasonal or topic-based performance dips

  • Use Attempts by Content Title to find content with the most failed or incomplete attempts

  • Use Attempts by Question Description to identify problematic questions

  • Content with high fail or incomplete rates may need updated wording, refreshed content, or improved hints


Passed Attempts

Shows the percentage of attempts that resulted in a pass.

This indicates how well learners are performing overall.


Failed Attempts

Shows the % of attempts that resulted in a fail.

A rising value here may indicate confusing or outdated content.


Average Score

Displays the average quiz score across all pass and fail attempts.

This helps identify whether low scores are widespread or isolated.


Incomplete Attempts

Shows the percentage of attempts where the user did not finish the quiz.

High incomplete rates may suggest:

  • overly long quizzes

  • unclear navigation

  • users dropping out mid-way


Attempts by Content Title & Attempt Status

  • Identify content with frequent failures

Attempts by Question Description & Outcome

Shows how learners answer individual quiz questions — highlighting both correct (true) and incorrect (false) responses.

How to use this visual:

  • Identify misleading or poorly worded questions

  • Spot topics where learners struggle

  • Prioritise specific questions for revision


Attempts Detail

A table showing every learner attempt, including:

  • Content Title

  • Manager

  • User

  • Last Attempted

  • Success Status

  • Completion Status

  • % Score

  • Passed/Failed Attempt

  • Total # Attempts

This helps track user behaviour and outcomes at an individual level.


Question Detail

A detailed table showing every answered question, including:

  • Content Title

  • Question Name

  • Question Description

  • Response Provided

  • Correct Response

  • Whether the user answered correctly

Use this to diagnose specific misunderstandings and content issues.
