Create a Campaign

Prev Next

You can create a Campaign from inside the Create new release screen. Campaigns let you group scheduled content around a topic, event, or goal, and optionally display a banner on your audience’s Home screens.

Campaigns are release-led, so you create one from the Campaign field on the Create new release screen, while scheduling a release. A release is a scheduled drop of content within a campaign. Each release must be linked to a campaign – if one doesn’t exist yet, you can create it directly from this flow.

Note:

If you’re not sure what to build your campaign around, see Inspiration for Campaign Planning for ideas based on events, product launches, new systems, programmes, awareness initiatives, and holidays.

  1. In the Thrive menu, go to Manage > Campaigns.

  2. In the Scheduled releases tab, click + Create new release.

  3. On the Create new release screen, click + Create new campaign and complete the following:

    • Campaign Title: Enter a name for the campaign.

    • Copy: Write a summary describing the campaign.

    • Start Date and End Date: Set when the campaign runs.

    • Audiences: Search for and select who the campaign is targeted at.

    • Tag: Search for and select a tag for the campaign.

    • Show on home feed: Select this if you want the campaign to appear at the top of users’ Home screens. Upload a Desktop banner and, optionally, a Mobile banner, then enter a Banner Headline and Banner Subheading.

      Note:

For image specifications and text rules, see Campaign Banner Guidelines.

  4. Click Create to finish creating the campaign.
You’ll return to the Create new release screen with your new campaign selected.

  5. Complete the following to finish the release:

    • Add content from: Choose where the release’s content comes from: Published content, My drafts, or drafts from your own team or group.

    • Find content: Search for and select the content to include. This list covers a mix of content types, including courses, quizzes, links, and pages.

    • Subject: Enter what the release is about.

    • Copy: Write a summary describing the release.

    • Date: Click Select Date to set when the release goes out.

  6. Click Create.

Once the campaign is created, you can add further releases to it from the same Scheduled releases tab by selecting the existing campaign instead of creating a new one.
