Experience and Branding

How long does it take for Theme changes to appear for users?

Most Theme changes, such as logo updates or brand colour shifts, update in real-time. However, users may need to refresh their browser or clear their cache to see the changes immediately if they are already logged in.

Can I send Custom Messages to specific Audiences?

Yes. When configuring Custom Messages, you can use the audience targeting settings to ensure that specific banners or communications are only visible to the relevant groups within your organisation.

Intelligence and Automation

Does "Auto Curation" replace manual content management?

Auto Curation is designed to support your strategy, not replace it. It uses AI to surface relevant content automatically, but Admins still maintain full control over pinned content and primary collection structures.

Security and Access

What is the difference between a Role and a Permission?

A Role is a preset label (like Admin or Learner), while Permissions are the specific actions those roles are allowed to perform. You can customise permissions on the Permissions screen to grant or restrict access to specific features.

Skills

Can I see what other users have been doing to increase their skill levels?

Yes, you can view their activity feed on their profile page. You can also filter the feed to display skill-specific activity.

Can I change the names of skill levels after the initial setup?

Yes, Super Admins can modify skill level names in the Skill Level Configuration dashboard.

Can I add more global skill levels after the initial setup?

Yes, skill levels can be reconfigured at any time.

What is skill levelling?

Skill levelling allows users to set a target level for a skill they are working towards. This feature must be enabled by a Super Admin.

Can skill levels be different for each skill?

No, skill levels are global settings across all skills. However, skill progress is tracked individually for each skill.

What happens if skill progression is turned off?

If skill progression is disabled, skill levels will no longer be displayed. No data is lost, and if skill progression is re-enabled, all previously recorded skill progression will be restored.

How can I level up my skills?

You can level up your skills by completing content configured to boost skills. Depending on permissions, either the learner or their manager can manually update and set a skill level.

What is the key difference between how Skills and Topics function?

The difference is in their purpose: Skills are about personal development and are tied to what an individual wants to improve or grow at, making content appear on their Learn Page. In contrast, Topics are tags used for general content organization based on subject matter, helping to populate sections on the homepage and drive discovery based on user interests.
