How To Assign Content To An Audience

This article covers how to assign , set completion windows, and track progress. By assigning content to audiences, you ensure that learners receive the relevant materials they need.

Note:

You can only assign content to an audience if you are an admin or an audience manager with assignment permission enabled.

  1. In your Thrive instance, go to Dashboard > Audiences.

  2. Select the audience you want to assign content to.

  3. Click the Assignments tab.
    In the Assignments tab, you can see any content that has already been assigned.

  4. To add more assignments, click Add Assignment.

  5. Search and select the content you want to assign.

  6. Set the completion window by using the slider to determine how long learners have to complete the assigned content. You can set this to a minimum of one day and a maximum of three years.

    Note:

    For example, if you set the content to two weeks and a new user is added within that time, they will have two weeks from their join date to complete it.

  7. Set the recurrence if needed. For example, content expiration after a year, which resets the learner’s progress and reassigns the content.

  8. Click Assign.

The content is now assigned to the selected audience.

You can track the assignment by clicking it and viewing the content tracker, which shows the total number of users assigned to this content, as well as how many are complete, incomplete, or overdue.
