Interacting with Content

Prev Next

Thrive offers several interactive tools allowing users to engage with learning content. These features make it easy to track, share, and collaborate on materials, fostering a more dynamic learning environment.

Content Interaction Options

Here is a breakdown of the ways you can interact with any piece of content in Thrive:

Like Content

Show your appreciation or acknowledgment of a piece of content by clicking Likes (heart icon). This helps signal valuable content to other users.

Manage Access and Sharing

Once published, you can control visibility and distribution directly from the content toolbar using the eye and paper plane icons.

Visibility and Permissions

Click the eye icon to manage who can see the item.

Access levels: Switch between Limited Access for specific groups or Public access for everyone.

  • Recommendations: Add the item to a user’s recommended content list.

  • Sharing controls: Select whether everyone can re-share the content or if sharing is restricted to admins and authors.

Sharing and Notifications

Click the paper plane icon to send the content to others.

  • Send and notify: Search for users or audiences in the search bar to notify them of the content. Sharing a limited access item automatically grants access to the recipient.

  • Quick links: Click Copy link to content to copy a direct link to the content for external use.

Pin Content

Use the PIN icon to save content to your personal Pinned items section. Pinned items serve as a quick-access bookmark for important or frequently used resources.

To view your pinned items, click the pin icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon.

Download Content

If the content creator has made the resource available to download, you will see a DOWNLOAD icon. Click it to save the content directly to your device.

Flag Content

If you encounter an issue or believe the content needs attention, click the FLAG icon.

Users typically flag content for reasons such as:

  • Reporting a technical issue (such as a broken link)

  • Notifying administrators of Incorrect information

  • Suggesting the content needs further review

Note:

For more information, see How to flag a piece of content.

Comment on Content

Engage in discussions or ask questions directly related to the content:

  • Click Add a comment to start a discussion.

  • Tag other users in your comment by typing @ followed by their name. This will automatically notify them of the conversation.

User interface showing comments and tags for collaboration in a digital workspace.
