Can I edit auto-generated video subtitles?

Yes. You can download the auto-generated subtitle file, make manual edits, and re-upload it to Thrive. Note that if you edit the primary transcript and re-upload it, any subsequent "Generate Missing Subtitles" actions will be based on your edited version.

How long does it take to generate video translations?

Auto-generation time depends on video length and complexity, but it can take up to 48 hours for larger files. While the generation is in progress, you cannot add or remove additional languages.

What is the difference between Shared and Assigned content?

Shared content is informational or recommended material that is pushed to users for voluntary engagement. Assigned content is mandatory training (such as compliance) that includes a due date and requires completion tracking.

Can I prevent users from downloading files I've uploaded?

Yes. When uploading a file under Other Content Types, you can toggle the "Downloadable" setting to NO. This ensures the file can only be viewed within the Thrive platform and not saved locally by the learner.

Why am I getting a “Something went wrong” error when uploading a SCORM package?

Your file may be "double-zipped." This happens when your SCORM package is tucked inside another ZIP folder (common with providers like iHasco). Thrive cannot read the file because the required content is buried one layer too deep.

The Fix

  1. Unzip/Extract the file you downloaded from your content provider.

  2. Open the extracted folder and look for a secondary ZIP file inside.

  3. Upload that secondary ZIP to Thrive instead.

Why has a learner's pathway progress not updated?

The progress of a pathway is calculated when the learner views the pathway page. If a piece of content has been completed without viewing the pathway first, and not within the context of the pathway, this will not be communicated to the pathway and the progress will not be updated until the learner next views the pathway.

If the pathway was already at 100% before the learner completed the content again, visiting the pathway page will not generate a new pathway completion. The existing completion record stands, and the completion date shown reflects the date the last content item was completed.
