Once a Structure or Audience is created, you can manage its membership, delegate its administration, track assignments, and review or change its settings.
Select a Structure or Audience to open its detail view, where you can manage it using the following tabs:
Audiences (Structure only): Create and manage the Audiences in this Structure. See Create an Audience.
Members: View the users included in the Structure or Audiences.
Admins (Structure only): Add Admins to the Structure and assign them permissions across three roles. See Structure Admin Permissions.
Content: View the content shared with this Structure or Audience.
Assignments: Create and track assignments – see Creating Assignments.
Skills (Audience only): Assign skills, with current and target levels, to every member of the Audience – see Adding Skills to an Audience.
Settings: Edit the Structure or Audience details, or delete it.
Delete a Structure or Audience
Structure
On the Structures screen, click the ellipsis icon (⋮) in the Actions column, then select Delete structure.
In the Delete structure? popup, type Delete into the text box, then click Delete.
The Structure is permanently deleted. Deleting a Structure removes members’ access to any assignments or content shared with it. This can’t be undone.
Note:
A Structure can’t be deleted while it still contains Audiences. Delete all of the Structure’s Audiences first, then try again.
Audience
Open the Audience, then go to its Settings tab.
In the panel on the right, select Delete audience.
Type Delete into the text box, then click Delete audience.
The Audience is permanently deleted. Deleting an Audience removes members’ access to any assignments or content shared with it. This can’t be undone.
Creating Assignments
The Assignments tab, for both a Structure and an Audience, lists its existing assignments with their duration, recurrence, and a delete action for each.
To create an assignment:
Click + Create assignment.
In the Content section, click + Add content to select existing content to assign. You can search by content title or tag.
Choose when it’s due:
Duration: Enter a number and select a unit – Days, Weeks, Months, or Years – that learners have to complete it. This window is relative, not fixed: a member who joins later gets the same amount of time from when they join, not from when you created the assignment.
Specific date: Use the calendar picker to set a fixed due date instead.
(Optional) Turn on Recurrence to reassign the content on a repeating schedule, and enter how often.
Note:
Recurrence is calculated from the date each learner completes the assignment, so recurring due dates may vary between learners.
Click Create assignment.
Completing the assigned content automatically marks the assignment as Completed.
Key Things to Know
Moving an Audience to a different Structure may change its membership. If the Audience contains users who aren’t part of the new Structure, those users are removed. Membership updates may take up to 24 hours.
Structure rules function like Smart Audiences and may take up to 24 hours to update when modified.
Manual Audiences moved to a Structure are updated automatically based on the Structure’s membership rules.
