New Features and Enhancements
Searchable Video Transcripts
Video transcripts are now fully searchable, so you can search for what’s actually said in a video, not just its title or description. This applies to both global search and our AI assistant, Kiki.
Note:
Currently, this feature works only for newly uploaded videos. Transcripts for videos created before this feature was introduced are not yet searchable. We're working hard to include all older videos in a future update.
Key Benefits
Kiki now provides more accurate answers and recommendations by referencing video transcripts.
Search results and Kiki's recommendations prioritise videos in your preferred language(s).
You'll only see content you have permission to access, including the transcripts.
How it works
We've indexed all existing video transcripts, both those generated by Thrive and those uploaded manually, to make them searchable. This does not trigger any new auto-transcription. We’ve also filtered out non-verbal elements to ensure high-quality results.
New Completions Tab in Dashboards
We've introduced a new Completions tab in both the Leadership Dashboard and Content Dashboard. This enhancement provides leaders and content managers with clear, intuitive insights into all content completions, including organic learning. You can now easily track completion trends, identify popular content and topics, and view detailed completion lists to better understand learning engagement across your organisation.
Other Enhancements
Kiki has been enhanced with Learner Profile Context. It now gains a deeper understanding of users' role, skills, topics, and goals, enabling it to provide more relevant, personalised, and effective support with smarter, role-aware answers.
Note:
For more information, see Enhanced Learner Profile Context.
Super Admins can now hide “People” results from the search interface for learners. This new security setting gives organisations more control over user information, helping to meet internal privacy standards.
Note:
To enable this feature, see Hiding People From Search Results.
Content is now automatically translated into a learner’s preferred language in Thrive platforms with additional languages. For the highest quality translations, we recommend setting OpenAI as your AI provider in Configure > AI features > Providers.
The Onboarding page, located in Configure > Onboarding, has received a visual refresh to align with our new design system.
Note:
For more information, see Site Onboarding.
The user authentication pages have received a visual refresh to align with our new design system.
Mobile App
You can now view subtitles and closed captions during video playback in the Thrive Mobile App! This update brings mobile functionality in line with the web platform, ensuring a consistent viewing experience across all your devices.
Embedded Content Cards are now fully supported in the Thrive Mobile App. Authors can seamlessly embed rich content cards directly within the Content Creator when referencing other Thrive content (like courses or articles).
You can now view and select translations for Pathway titles and descriptions in the Thrive Mobile App.
The user authentication pages have received a visual refresh to align with our new design system.
Event dates and times now automatically display in your local device time zone. This applies to Event cards, the Event content page, and all event sessions listed on the Learn page, ensuring all event information is clear and localised.
Super Admins can now hide “People” results from the search interface for learners. This new security setting gives organisations more control over user information, helping to meet internal privacy standards.
