The AI Assistant Tab provides super admins with anonymised insights into how learners are using the AI Assistant across the platform. It helps you understand adoption, usage patterns, and the value of the AI Assistant without exposing sensitive conversation data.
Accessing the AI Assistant Tab
To access the AI Assistant tab, on the Thrive menu, go to Insights > Search & AI Dashboard.
The AI Assistant Dashboard opens with two tabs: Searches and AI Assistant.
Click the AI Assistant tab to view AI Assistant usage data.
This page will only display data if your AI Assistant is enabled. To enable to AI Assistant, see AI Assistant: Setup and Administration.
Filtering the AI Assistant Dashboard
Use the filters at the top of the dashboard to refine your view by date range, audience, position title, or custom user attributes. Data is available for the previous two years plus current year to date.
Click View by Structure and Audience to apply audience-specific filters.
Dashboard Sections
Is the AI Assistant Being Used?
This section shows adoption metrics including the percentage and number of learners using the AI Assistant, session counts, message volumes, and usage patterns over time. You can see which days have the highest engagement and how conversation length varies across sessions.
What is the AI Assistant Being Used For?
This section categorises messages by intent (work questions, platform content, translations, summaries, etc.) and shows the percentage of times relevant content was successfully surfaced. You can also see whether responses came from platform content, web search, or other sources.
How Quickly Does the AI Assistant Respond to Learners?
This section displays average response times overall and broken down by message intent and source. These metrics help you monitor AI Assistant performance at scale.

All data displayed is anonymised – no chat transcripts or user-level data is exposed.
Only super admins can access this dashboard.
The AI Assistant may be referred to by a custom name in your organisation, but this dashboard always refers to it as "AI Assistant".
