Speech-to-text feature for the AI Assistant on the Thrive Mobile App introduces a faster, more natural, and hands-free way to interact. Instead of typing out questions and commands, you can simply speak to the AI Assistant, making on-the-go learning and support more seamless and accessible.
Before You Begin
Permissions: On new installs, you'll grant Microphone permission (and Speech Recognition on iOS) during app onboarding, if the AI Assistant is enabled. Otherwise, or if declined, you'll be prompted the first time you use this feature. You can also grant these via your device settings at any time.
Language Match: Speech-to-text supports multiple languages. For the most accurate transcriptions, verify that the language you are speaking matches the Primary Language set in your Profile settings.
Using Mobile Speech-to-Text
Open the AI Assistant on your mobile device.
Tap the microphone icon next to the text box to begin recording.
A listening modal will open.Begin speaking your query or command.
Your words will be transcribed in real-time in the modal.Note:
The system automatically detects when you have finished speaking (by detecting a pause/silence) and stops the transcription.
Once the listening modal closes, the transcribed text is automatically sent to the AI Assistant as your message, and the AI Assistant will respond as usual.
