Video Processing in Content Creator

Prev Next

When you upload a video to a draft in Content Creator, Thrive processes it automatically before it can be published. Large videos can take a while to process, so Content Creator shows you each video's progress and tells you if anything goes wrong.

Tracking Processing Progress

  1. Open a draft in Content Creator and upload a video. Processing starts automatically.

  2. Check the video’s progress. Each video shows Processing with a percentage and a progress bar.

  3. When processing is complete, the video shows Done.

You can keep editing other blocks while a video processes. If you leave the draft and come back, the progress keeps updating.

Note:

Processing progress only shows on drafts. It doesn’t show when you add a video to content that’s already published.

Publishing Content With Videos

The Publish button is disabled while any video in your draft is processing. It becomes available again once all videos have finished.

If you add another video that needs processing, Publish is disabled again until that video is done.

Going to a Specific Video

Click a video’s progress bar to go straight to that video in your draft, even if it’s inside an accordion, a tab, or on another page. This helps in long content with many videos.

Fixing Processing Errors

If a video fails to process, an error message explains what went wrong.

  1. Click the progress indicator to go to the affected video block.

  2. Use the error message to fix the issue, for example by replacing the video.

Note:

Processing feedback doesn’t change how long processing takes. For tips on reducing the size of large videos, see Working with large file uploads.
