The Content Creator allows you to generate and edit multi-modal , including AI-generated text and images, while embedding quizzes with completion requirements to assess learner retention. This tool supports collaborative content creation, streamlining the process of developing engaging and effective learning materials.

Note:

The Content Creator is currently only available to users in collaborations. To view the collaborations in your Thrive staging environment, go to Manage > Collaborations.

  1. In the Thrive menu, go to Configure > Beta features.

  2. In the FEATURE list, toggle New content authoring experience to ENABLED.

Core Content Creator features, such as content editing and quiz embedding tools, are enabled. Follow the steps below to enable AI-powered content creation features, such as text and image generation using AI providers.

  1. Go to Configure > AI features.
    The AI configuration screen appears.

  2. Under Providers, select one or more AI providers to support your desired features. Thrive  currently supports the following providers:

    • OpenAI: Used for capabilities such as AI Assistant responses, text generation, and image creation.

    • Google: Used for features like video generation from text prompts.

  3. In Features, enable the AI features you want to activate on your Thrive platform. You can only enabled features that are supported by your selected provider(s).

  4. (Optional) For relevant features, select Admin only if you want the feature to be restricted to admins.

  5. Click Save.

The Content Creator will include the selected AI features based on your chosen providers and permissions.

Note:

All configuration changes are logged by Thrive and can be requested for review if needed.

  1. In the Thrive menu, go to Manage > Collaborations and select the relevant collaboration.

  2. Go to Shared drafts > Create new content to open the content creation screen.

  3. Choose the type of content you want to create by selecting one of the following options:

    1. Build it myself: Start from a blank template and manually add your own structure, text, media, and quizzes.

    2. Start with text: Paste or input existing text content for Thrive AI to format and enhance.

    3. Upload a PDF: Import a PDF file to automatically generate a course based on its content.

  4. Click Next, then follow the on-screen prompts to create your content.

Once you've completed these steps, your content draft will be ready for editing and enhancement using the full range of Content Creator tools, including AI assistance, multimedia elements, and interactive components.

Quizzes are a great way to reinforce key concepts and ensure learner retention. You can make quizzes mandatory by enabling completion requirements when publishing your content.

To create a quiz:

  1. Before publishing your content (or after publishing by clicking Edit), select Generate quiz.

  2. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Thrive AI will automatically generate a set of relevant questions based on your content. You can:

  • Review and edit the suggested questions.

  • Add your own custom questions if needed.

  • Edit the feedback provided for correct and incorrect answers.
