The AI Content Creator allows you to generate and edit multi-modal content, including AI-generated text and images, while embedding quizzes with completion requirements to assess learner retention. This tool supports collaborative content creation, streamlining the process of developing engaging learning materials.

Content Creator is currently only available to users in collaborations. To view the collaborations in your Thrive staging environment, go to Dashboard > Collabs.
Enabling AI Content Creator
In the Thrive menu, go to Configure > Beta features.
In the FEATURE list, toggle New content authoring experience to ENABLED.
Go to Configure > AI features and scroll down to Content creator settings.
To enable image generation:
Under Content creator settings, toggle Allow image generation on.
In Select provider, select OpenAI.
In Select model, select dall-e-3.
To enable text generation:
Under Content builder settings, toggle Allow text generation on.
In Select provider, select OpenAI.
In Select model, select gpt-4o.
Click Save.
AI content creator is enabled on your staging environment.
Note:
All configuration changes are logged by Thrive and can be requested for review if needed.
Creating Content with the AI Content Creator
In the Thrive menu, go to Manage > Collaborations > Thrive Product > Shared drafts or click Go to dashboard on the home screen banner.
Click Create new content.
The Content Builder screen appears:
In the Content Builder screen, enter a Title.
Depending on the type of content you want to create, click the appropriate button under Add section:
Text: Click Add text to manually enter your own text or click Generate AI text to enter specific instructions or prompts to guide OpenAI in generating text.
Note:
AI text generation is available only if Allow text generation is enabled in Content builder settings.
Image: Click Insert Image to manually upload an image or click Generate AI image to enter prompts to describe the image you want OpenAI to create.

AI image generation is available only if Allow image generation is enabled in Content builder settings.
PDF: Upload a PDF to attach to the content.
Note: By default, the PDF can be downloaded. To prevent downloads, deselect Downloadable.
Link: Enter a URL to display as a clickable tile within the content.

If necessary, rearrange the tiles using the drag icon.
Click Next.
Select a thumbnail from the available options, or click Upload image to upload your own.
In the Content completion dropdown menu, select an option to specify how content completion is registered.
Click Publish.
The content is now published. At the top of the content, the estimated time to complete it is displayed, calculated based on the word count. Additionally, a label indicates that the content Contains AI features if applicable.
Creating a Quiz in the AI Content Creator
To quiz users on their knowledge of the content:
Under Add section, click Quiz.
In the Name your quiz text box, enter a name for the quiz.
Click Next.
In the Question text box, enter a question.
Under Answers, enter at least one possible answer in the option text boxes.
Click the grey tick icon to the right of the option you want to mark as the correct answer.
In Correct feedback, enter a message to display when users select the correct answer.
In Incorrect feedback, enter a message to display if users select an incorrect answer, such as a hint or “Try again”.
To add another possible answer, click Add another choice.
To finish creating the first question of the quiz, click Create.
The quiz is created and appears on Content Builder. To add another question, click Add another question and repeat the steps above.
